There is something irresistibly intriguing about an antique anatomical print. Part scientific study, part Victorian curiosity, it turns the human form into something both scholarly and beautifully decorative. This piece, with its detailed study of the muscles of the head and neck, has the unmistakable character of old medical illustration and would make a striking addition to a study, clinic, office or dark academia interior. Perfect for lovers of anatomy, vintage science and unusual wall art with a thoughtful, intellectual edge.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a rich, detailed finish that suits antique anatomical illustration especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its subtle tones, fine linework and carefully observed detail.
