Some maps do far more than show borders and routes; they tell the story of a civilisation. This archaeological sketch map of India is full of that deeper kind of intrigue, tracing Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim sites across the landscape and turning history into something richly visual. It has all the appeal of a Victorian scholarly chart, with the layered charm of an antique wall map and the quiet drama of a place shaped by centuries of faith, empire and discovery. A striking choice for lovers of Indian history, archaeology and vintage cartography, it brings intelligence, atmosphere and conversation to a study, library, hallway or office.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a crisp, characterful finish that suits antique cartography especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its subtle tones and fine printed detail.
