There is something especially striking about a backbone study in antique anatomy. With its stacked vertebrae, elegant structure and quiet scientific precision, this print turns the architecture of the body into something both scholarly and decorative. It has all the intrigue of a Victorian medical plate, making it a brilliant choice for anyone drawn to anatomical wall art, vintage science illustration and dark academia interiors with a thoughtful, curious edge.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a rich, detailed finish that suits antique anatomical illustration especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its subtle tones, fine linework and carefully observed detail.
