An antique map of Ceylon has a wonderful layered charm to it: part historical document, part travel keepsake, part portrait of an island known today as Sri Lanka. With its old place names, elegant cartographic detail and unmistakable vintage character, this print captures the romance of nineteenth-century mapmaking beautifully. It is a striking choice for anyone with ties to Sri Lanka, a love of antique maps or an eye for classic travel-inspired wall decor with real history behind it.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a crisp, characterful finish that suits antique cartography especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its subtle tones and fine printed detail.
