Few birds capture the imagination quite like the dodo. Lost to history yet still instantly recognisable, it has become a symbol of curiosity, rarity and the strange beauty of the natural world. This print gives the extinct bird the elegant treatment of a Victorian ornithology plate, full of quiet detail and old-world character. It is a wonderful choice for bird lovers, natural history enthusiasts and anyone drawn to unusual antique wall art with a story behind it.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a rich, characterful finish that suits antique ornithological illustration especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its subtle tones and finely observed detail.
