Butterfly studies have a lightness and delicacy that make them especially appealing as wall art, and this antique entomology print captures that beautifully. With yellow and green butterflies gathered among clover blossoms and leafy stems, it brings together the precision of a nineteenth-century natural history plate with the softness of a botanical composition. A lovely choice for anyone drawn to antique butterfly prints, vintage insect art and cottage-inspired decor, it adds colour, detail and a quietly whimsical charm to a bedroom, hallway, study or gallery wall.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a crisp, characterful finish that suits antique entomology artwork especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its gentle tones, fine linework and delicate printed detail.
