Monkey studies have a lively character that makes them especially appealing as wall art, and this antique primate print captures that beautifully. Featuring striated, silky, fox-tailed, red-tailed and squirrel monkeys in finely observed period detail, it combines the curiosity of a nineteenth-century natural history plate with a playful sense of movement and personality. A striking choice for anyone drawn to antique monkey prints, vintage animal art and natural history decor, it brings charm, conversation and a quietly scholarly feel to a study, nursery, hallway or gallery wall.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a crisp, characterful finish that suits antique natural history artwork especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its fine linework, subtle tonal variation and intricate printed detail.
