Ornithoptera urvilliana (the common green birdwing) is one of those butterflies that feels almost unreal — glossy black wings lit with vivid green, like stained glass in motion. Victorian naturalists adored birdwings for their scale and colour, and this antique-style entomology print captures that “specimen plate” beauty perfectly. A striking piece for a gallery wall, study, home office, or anyone who loves vintage lepidoptera, natural history, and insect art.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
