Radiolarians have an almost otherworldly beauty, and that is exactly what gives this antique natural history print its appeal. Filled with intricate protozoa forms arranged in crisp detail against a rich blue ground, it has the precision of a scientific plate but the decorative impact of something strikingly modern. A wonderful choice for anyone drawn to antique marine life prints, vintage science decor and natural history wall art, it brings pattern, curiosity and a quietly dramatic feel to a study, office, hallway or gallery wall.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
Print quality
Printed on beautifully textured 300gsm cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, this reproduction has a crisp, characterful finish that suits antique scientific illustration especially well. The heavyweight fine art paper gives the image depth and presence, while the archival inks help preserve its rich tones, delicate linework and fine printed detail.
