In 1776, the world still had edges that felt unknown — and Russian explorers were charting the vast sweep from Siberia to the Pacific, mapping coastlines, straits and island chains that linked Asia to America. This vintage “Russian discoveries in Asia and America” map has that thrilling Age of Exploration atmosphere, with the Bering region and far-northern routes taking centre stage. A brilliant antique-style wall map for a study, library, or anyone fascinated by early travel, Arctic seas, Alaska, and historic cartography.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
