In the Victorian era there was a full-blown fern craze (“pteridomania”) — fronds pressed into albums, motifs woven into textiles, and conservatories filled with exotic greenery. The silver brake fern (Pteris argyraea) is a perfect example of why: elegant, architectural leaves with striking pale veining that looks almost hand-painted. This vintage botanical print brings that calm, leafy beauty to your walls, ideal for plant-filled homes, hallways, studies, and gallery walls of antique botanicals.
This is an edited reproduction made from antique/public domain source imagery.
